- Cook the Pasta: Boil the pasta in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare Meatballs: Roll the minced beef into small, bite-sized meatballs.
- Cook Meatballs: Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and add the meatballs. Fry for about 5 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned.
- Add Vegetables: Add the chopped peppers, onion, and sliced mushrooms to the pan. Cook for another 5 minutes until softened.
- Prepare the Sauce: Add chopped tomatoes or passata, water, Bolognese seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, and tomato purée. Stir well, bring to a simmer, and cook for about 20 minutes until thickened.
- Combine Pasta and Sauce: In a baking dish, mix the drained pasta with the meatball sauce until coated.
- Add Cheese and Bake: Sprinkle grated mozzarella over the top and garnish with chopped chives. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and serve hot.
